The Break-Up

I did enjoy the fact that this wasn't another romantic comedy where everything worked out in the end. And there were lots of moments where it was very drama filled and I liked that too. I know it didn't do too well in reviews and stuff, but I don't think it was that bad. The only character I really didn't like and I think it was VERY smart to cut a lot of his scenes was Brooke's brother. He was just such a dumb character. I even enjoyed Christopher; it seemed like the writers and the actor that played that role wanted it to be the big funny ridiculous thing. But I liked him so much more.
I loved the scene in the beginning where Gary and his friend were sitting at the Cubs game and his friend was bitching about the guy sitting next to him and how he was sitting. It just made me laugh because I totally related it to sitting at Preds games. That was great.
I think this movie will make any couple watch it and say, Oh yeah, we've had that fight before. I know I definitely felt like that. But, you know, we've never gotten to the point of breaking up, so that's good! But their fights were definitely realistic feeling. Anyway, I did enjoy this movie and I think Jennifer Aniston & Vince Vaughn played these characters really well. And I always love seeing Joey Lauren Adams. She's great and I love when she's in a movie I'm watching. I also like the extras on the DVD. The little tour of Chicago is fun to watch. I think I'm going to watch this movie with the commentary on.
I need to find movies that have really good commentaries. Those are always fun to watch. Anyway, off to watch another movie!
